Ever thought about how your homepage looks in the eyes of new users? According to some new research if your page isn't visually pleasing from the first look the user get you're out of luck.

«A study by researchers in Canada has shown that the snap decisions Internet users make about the quality of a web page have a lasting impact on their opinions.»

Now that's scary! Earlier people who were thought to know these things said that the users took about 2-3 seconds to decide whether or not they liked the look of your site, the new study use milliseconds.

"My colleagues believed it would be impossible to really see anything in less than 500 milliseconds," says Gitte Lindgaard of Carleton University in Ottawa
