When I learned about right and left in school I was told that left was on the same side as you had your watch. So whenever in doubt I raise my watch-hand and look; left, in case I need to go right I still raise my watch-hand but go in the opposite direction.

The trouble however started when I started to wear my watch on my right arm. Things will never be the same again, left and right are mixed together in something close to chaos. There is no pattern anymore. No right. No left. Only “turn right, or is it left…”

Just to make the chaos complete; I moved from a country where they drive on the right (in more than one way) side of the road to a country which drives on the left side.
